History and Membership Eligibility

Glatco Credit Union was originally started on March 22, 1977 to serve employees of the P.H. Glatfelter Company. Today, membership in GLATCO Credit Union has expanded to include graduates or students of the Spring Grove Area School District, as well as any employee, family member or household member of the following Select Employee Groups:

Members are required to open and maintain a savings account with a minimum opening deposit of $20.

Glatco Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial service cooperative, operating for the benefit of the members. We pledge to provide convenient services, while maintaining sound financial practices, upholding the credit union movement, and being involved in our community.
